In the winter of 2017, a female mallard duck began frequenting the Wallace family's backyard.

In the spring, the visits became more frequent and it was clear that "Daisy" (a name that Mr. Wallace gave to the duck) had become very comfortable in the Wallace yard.

In May, the Wallaces suspected that there was a nest in the yard and within days, 12 ducklings emerged from the nest.

The ducklings spent their first two weeks in the Wallace backyard.
